Freshmen typically apply to the university and declare pre-nursing as their major. The pre-nursing major is designed for students who intend to apply for admission to our Bachelor of Science in Nursing Program. Students apply for admission to our upper-division BSN program in the fall of their sophomore year. While eligible students are encouraged to declare the pre-nursing major, any student who meets the admission requirements is eligible to apply to the BSN program. Although the College of Nursing does not offer a separate program for second-degree students, students with a bachelor’s degree in other disciplines are encouraged to apply to the upper division. Admission to Auburn University does not guarantee admission to the College of Nursing.

If you are anticipating AP/Dual Enrollment credit bring your courses and grades with you to your Camp War Eagle Advising Session. Become familiar with our application process. It's never too early to start building desirable characteristics for your nursing application!

Clinical locations vary from large hospitals to small rural clinics to provide students experience with diverse patient populations. Clinical locations include, but are not limited to, the Auburn-Opelika area, Montgomery, Birmingham, Mobile, Columbus, GA, LaGrange, GA, and Atlanta, GA. Cost of travel to clinical sites is the responsibility of the student.

Tuition and Fees will follow Auburn University's cost of attendance per academic year. More information on Cost of Attendance can be found HERE A more detailed estimate of expenses for upper division students can be found below. These are in addition to Auburn University's Cost of Attendance. The amount that students pay in tuition and required fees represents a sizable and important investment in their future. However, student payments alone do not cover the full cost of providing any of Auburn's educational programs. Even after state appropriations are included, some programs require funding through additional fees in order to provide a high-quality learning environment that students expect. Like the basic tuition and fees, these additional amounts help to cover not only the direct costs of providing instruction and advising in these programs but also indirect costs associated with Auburn's role as a comprehensive center of higher education for the state.
