The online RN to BSN track includes two pathways, a traditional RN to BSN and a concurrent RN to BSN. The traditional RN to BSN is a 3-semester curriculum designed to prepare registered nurses to take the next step in their professional career with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree.

The concurrent RN to BSN provides a pathway for students who are prerequisite complete and accepted to an associate's degree in nursing program at a community college. Concurrent students enroll in BSN classes at AUCON while taking associate's degree classes at the community college and graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree one semester after completing the associate's degree.

The RN to BSN track prepares nurses with leadership, critical thinking, and evidence-based practice skills to positively impact diverse patients, families, and communities. The program is designed to promote student success by providing concepts that can be directly applied to nursing practice. AUCON provides clinical opportunities for experiential learning in advanced nursing concepts such as community health, interprofessional experiences, and nursing leadership.

Taught by the same nursing faculty who teach on campus, this program offers start dates in fall, spring, or summer and flat-rate in-state/out-of-state tuition.

• You must have a current unencumbered license or a document stating the anticipated date of completion of an ADN/ASN program. *If you reside in a state outside of Alabama, contact AUCON to ensure approved clinical assignments are eligible in your state.
  

• RN-BSN students are eligible to begin the program with two outstanding core requirements which must be completed by the final semester of enrollment in the online program.
  

• Fall, Spring & Summer admission

• All classes must be completed with a C or better and minimum of 2.5 GPA

• 56 hours of required core classes
