The Auburn Alumni Association presented Bettina Days Wright, DNPc, MSN, NE-BC, with the Distinguished Black Alumni Award at a ceremony in April. The award recognizes recipients for outstanding achievements in their professional lives, personal integrity and stature and service to the university.
Bettina Days Wright, DNPc, MSN, NE-BC, has a rich background in nursing leadership, spanning over 30 years. Currently, she serves as the Asst. Director for Patient Care Practice at Emory Healthcare in Atlanta, overseeing clinical operations in multiple surgery centers. As a retired Air Force Officer, she enjoyed 21 years of dedicated service, leadership and training.
With a focus on education, Wright obtained an associate degree in nursing and understood the need to be a lifelong learner. In 1996, she received an undergraduate degree in nursing from Auburn. She is a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) candidate and holds a Nurse Executive certification in addition to other professional achievements. Her dedication to improving patient outcomes and developing future nurse leaders is evident through her extensive experience and contributions to publications, conference presentations, and continued support of AU college of nursing.
Bettina is happily married to Auburn alum Gary Wright ’87 and they are the proud parents of Dec. 2023 AU alumna Madison Wright. Additionally, she finds joy in family, travel, and sports, and is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
Congratulations to Bettina Days Wright!
